After numerous requests, The Women of Courage and Commitment presented "Famous First Ladies, The Power Behind The Power" at Prairie Ridge of Galena. Our residents and the outside public learned what it was like to be First Lady from Abigail Smith Adams,Helen (Nellie) Taft, and Lou Hoover. They shared little known stories of their time in the White House. And as an added bonus, they heard from Alice Roosevelt Longworth, the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt and his first wife, Alice Hathaway. It was a great performance and we look forward to future programming!
